April 18 - 21, 2008 Saguaro Desert Cactus Photo Workshop |
$1,495 Flight Destination: Tucson, AZ |
The desert southwest outside of Tucson, Arizona is one of the most beautiful and captivating areas of the county for landscape photography. Sunrise and sunset shooting times add color to the sky creating some very dramatic images of these huge saguaro cactus. A variety of cactus fill the landscape so there are lots of compositions to keep anyone busy for as long as they like. An evening of night photography will teach you some very interesting techniques to enhance both your images on this trip as well as other settings for your photography. |
| Besides spending time at sunrise and sunset in the Sonoran Desert as well as some time in between when the light is nice, most of a day will be spent at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. Here, there is a wonderful cactus garden that offers room to move around to get nice close-ups of a variety of cactus not easily found walking around in the desert. | |
| In addition to the cactus found at the Desert Museum, many desert animals can also be photographed here at various enclosures and aviaries. A popular spot here is the hummingbird aviary as well as the desert bird aviary. Click here to see photos from the Arizona desert area. |
