The northernmost coast of California provides opportunities to capture a wide variety of subjects. Towering redwood trees, coastal flats, driftwood, lighthouses and some wildlife while being based out of both Eureka and Crescent City.. |
Sunsets
over the Pacific, ferns in the redwood groves and other flowers also await during
the daily outings. Outings from Eureka will include the harbor and shore, the westernmost covered bridges in the country along the Elk River, the picturesque town of Ferndale, and shots along Humboldt Bay. |  |
 | Numerous days then will be dedicated to the redwoods in a variety of State and National Parks photographing the forests and surrounding scenery and, hopefully, Roosevelt elk with their calves. May is typically not very rainy and the wildflowers should be very nice, especially the wild rhododendrons. During this time we’ll relocate to Crescent City to make access to the redwoods a bit easier. |
Also in the Crescent City area, more of the coastal areas, beaches, and the fishing villages of Trinidad Bay, Moonstone Beach with its rounded stones, Battery Point Lighthouse, and coastal flats will be visited. |
